1. Social Media.
Are you taking advantage of all the platforms available to you? This year you really should “do it for the gram”. Instagram, that is. Out of the 7.8 billion people in the world, 1 billion people use Instagram. Worldwide, there are over 2.27 billion monthly active Facebook users. It goes without saying that social media is an essential piece of your business marketing strategy. Social media is a great way to: Build Awareness, Communicate Authority, Show Authenticity, Promote Engagement, Provide Support, and Grow Affordable. It’s time to be seen by the people you want to see you, in the way they like to do it – by scrolling with their thumbs!
2. SSL Certificate.
In 2019 Google will flag 2 out of 3 websites as unsafe. Why? Any website that doesn’t have an SSL certificate properly installed will display a ‘Not Secure’ message in the URL bar. NOT A GOOD LOOK. This certificate ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral. If you don’t have the SSL certificate, a secure connection cannot be established, that means, your company information will not be digitally connected to a cryptographic key. Which also means you look SUPER sketchy to new consumers and competitors visiting your site.

- & More!
By 2020, online videos will make up more than 80% of all consumer internet. Get ahead of your competitors by maximizing the amount of video content across every platform. As Seth Godin once said, “Marketing is no longer about the stuff that you make, but the stories you tell.” Certainly, 2019 is shaping up to be the most exciting year yet when it comes to video marketing and storytelling. In fact, 64% of consumers make a purchase after watching a branded social video. If that’s not impressive enough, you should also know that videos on Facebook have 135% greater ORGANIC reach than photos do – that’s, like, free advertising.
5. ADA Compliance.
Not sure what this means? Just ask Beyonce. Recently, Beyonce’s official website was hit with a lawsuit for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by denying visually impaired users equal access to on-site features. These standards state that all electronic and information technology must be accessible to people with disabilities. Don’t be Beyonce. Avoid a fine. Be ADA compliant.
